For years I’ve selected a word for the year. I’d select a word that I could use as a theme for me and my business. I’d think about a word that aligned with any goals or plans I’d have for the year and that would help me to keep focus of what I wanted to get done while also leaving room for the unexpected.
I’ve spent the last few weeks thinking about what my word would be. To the point that I had a list of words, looked at their definitions to determine if that word is how I want to feel this year. When choosing a word I always ask myself at the end of the year if I had to sum up my year in one word, would I be able to say this word. I also don’t make the word too complicated. I want the word to keep me inspired and excited throughout the year. My word for 2024 is
When I thought about what I wanted for myself and for sonnet, this word kept coming back to me. I knew I wanted to spend this year doing some of the things I want to do but also giving myself the space to learn something new and to grow from that experience to make me a better person. Is that too woo woo? It sounded like it but it’s true, thats what I want. At the end of the year, I want to say that this year I saw myself and my business flourish. Over the course of the year, I’ll be coming back to this word sharing updates and also if I fall short. I hope you’ll follow along with me.
Question. Do you have a word for the year? If you do and want to share your word in the comments, I’d love to hear it. If you don’t have a word but need a little inspiration, I hope other words shared in the comments can give you some ideas for your own word.
