Fragrance Feature – Muse

January 20, 2024 · In: Fragrance Feature

Fridays on Instagram, I’ll be sharing a series called Fragrance Friday. I’ve seen a few candlemakers use Friday’s to feature fragrances from their collections and I wanted to do the same thing. I’m going to start this series with the core collection. This is the collection that is available year round and includes a mix of customer favorites, best sellers and new scents that I introduce. Today’s fragrance is Muse. It’s a new scent to the collection and one that is hard to pin down. The best way that I can explain this fragrance is complex floral.

What I love about this scent is one that always catches people off guard when they smell it. It’s unique, luxurious and even with a rose scent note, it doesn’t smell like your traditional rose scent, it’s elevated with an earthy element and softer fragrance notes that soften that rose note making it feel less like a predictable grandma-like scent.

Now if you’re not big on florals, I totally get it. When it comes to adding florals to my collection it’s always been tricky to me because florals can have too much going on making them a little overwhelming or be more sweet than floral. It’s hard to find a good balance but Muse does have florals but the blend is just right. If you want to test this scent out try the 4 oz travel tin. It’s a great sampling of this scent.

Do you like floral candle scents? This scent may be for you. Leave me a comment of your favorite floral scents. If you’re not a big fan of florals, let me know what you don’t like about floral candles that will help me as I continue to search for other floral candles to potentially include in future collections. Especially for Spring.

As a candlemaker, Fall/Winter is my favorite time As a candlemaker, Fall/Winter is my favorite time of year. I love all the warm and cozy scents of this season. The problem is I can’t make candles of every Fall and Winter scent that I love. After testing and making some cuts, this year, there are 5 scents. Two that have been best sellers since Sonnet started. One scent that is making a return from last year, a retired scent I’m bringing back and a new scents that has become a new favorite. Here’s a sneak peek of what’s coming soon at the beginning of October. Comment below which of these scents you think will your favorite.
It’s common for scents in a candle collection to It’s common for scents in a candle collection to change overtime. This year sadly I am saying goodbye to two scents They are Serenity, the coconut milk and lavender scent and Relax, the rosemary and mint scent. While I love both scents changes with my suppliers has caused me to pull these two scents from the collection.

if you love Serenity or Relax grab them now. Quantities are limited. Check out the shop to buy these scents before they’re gone.

Hi, it’s been a while since I’ve shown my face Hi, it’s been a while since I’ve shown my face here. I wanted to say Hi and that I’m still here I’ve just been knee deep in testing fall/winter scents (coming soon) testing new jars and a bunch of other candle stuff that’s kept me busy most of the Summer. Whether you’re a new or longtime follower, I’m Natasha and the woman behind Sonnet Candles. Welcome, I’m glad you’re here. I started Sonnet 3 years ago as a candle brand that creates candles that don’t cause headaches and scent your space without being overwhelming. If you have sensitivity to fragrance, these candles are perfect for you. As I said before I’ve also been preparing for Fall/Winter markets/pop ups that are right around the corner and doing a small re-brand more on all of that later. I can’t believe we’re halfway through September. I’m excited for Fall and candle season there’s a lot I can’t wait to share. Speaking of Fall, leave me a comment letting me know some of your favorite Fall and Winter Scents.

Can we talk about comparison? I had to take a litt Can we talk about comparison? I had to take a little bit of a social media break because I was slowly falling into that trap of comparison and looking at where other businesses are in relation to mine and feeling a little inadequate and I needed to take a little time to reset. While I know that all of us are running our own races but that monster of comparison sometimes is hard to fight and beat back even with all the rational thoughts to be a reminder that I’m doing what I need to do just like the other person or business is doing what they need to do. I shared this quote today as a reminder to myself and to anybody else who is feeling like they’re in the same spot trying to beat back all that stuff that comparison traps us into that where we are exactly where we’re supposed to be and what is for us is for us. Even if things don’t go our way, that doesn’t mean that we quit or think that we’ve failed. But it’s to remember that sometimes our paths may not look like everyone else’s and it’s OK and sometimes we have to go slower than others and that’s OK too. In the end where we wanna be we will get there maybe not in the timeframe that we hope but it will always be on time.
