Let’s Talk Products

January 20, 2024 · In: Products

When I started Sonnet, I wanted to create everything, candles, bath and body products, room sprays, you name it I wanted to make it. I quickly learned that I didn’t have the time or money to make everything I wanted to make. I decided to take it slow, and gradually add products that make sense and match the reason why I started Sonnet in the first place. That was create a collection of scents for the spaces you love. Whether it’s your kitchen, office, or bedroom, I wanted the scents you fill your home with you could enjoy. I’ve always believed the scent is one more way to add a decorative layer to your space. It makes it more warm, cozy for you and inviting for your guest. Keeping this in mind, I have created products that do just that. Here’s a little breakdown of what we create.

Candles

Our candles are made with coconut soy wax, cotton wicks and phthalate free fragrances. I wanted our candles to be as clean burning as I could make them. On top of that they’re fragrance strength is comfortable. It won’t overpower or overwhelm your or your space.

Wax Melts

I feel like wax melts can be a little underrated but if you’re looking to add fragrance to a large open space, this is the best way to do it. Our wax melts are made with soy wax and phthalate free fragrance. The fragrance strength in wax melts is a little stronger but in larger spaces that balances itself out. Plus, you can decide the fragrance strength. Since our wax melts come in a (recyclable) plastic clam shell, you can break off as many pieces as you want. My recommendation start with one and build from there.

Room Sprays

Our room sprays are great ways to add scent to your space immediately. Whether you use them to change your mood or clear the air, our room sprays don’t have a lot of extra stuff in them it’s fragrance water and binder since oils and waters don’t mix and a preservative since our room sprays are water base. These sprays are great for linens and towels too just be sure to test a small patch of fabric first.

Car Diffusers

I added car diffusers because I wanted to add scent to my car and I also didn’t want one of those car diffusers you buy that overwhelm you with scent the moment it’s opened only to weaken quickly. Those car diffusers I could never use it’s way too much fragrance so I made something I could use and in turn hoped others could too. Sonnet’s car diffusers allow you to have full control of the amount of fragrance that’s in your car. This also means that these car diffusers last longer too.

Perfume Oils

I can’t wear perfumes. For years I’ve been making my own perfume oils. I’m still working on actual perfume. This is my first body focused product and what I love about the collection of perfume oils is that the scents are totally different than the scents in our core collection. Our perfume oils are perfect if you’re looking for alternative to perfumes.

That’s it. This a breakdown of the products you can find at Sonnet Candles. Coming soon are reed diffusers and I’m really excited to add these to the product mix. I’ll talk more about them later.

As a candlemaker, Fall/Winter is my favorite time As a candlemaker, Fall/Winter is my favorite time of year. I love all the warm and cozy scents of this season. The problem is I can’t make candles of every Fall and Winter scent that I love. After testing and making some cuts, this year, there are 5 scents. Two that have been best sellers since Sonnet started. One scent that is making a return from last year, a retired scent I’m bringing back and a new scents that has become a new favorite. Here’s a sneak peek of what’s coming soon at the beginning of October. Comment below which of these scents you think will your favorite.
It’s common for scents in a candle collection to It’s common for scents in a candle collection to change overtime. This year sadly I am saying goodbye to two scents They are Serenity, the coconut milk and lavender scent and Relax, the rosemary and mint scent. While I love both scents changes with my suppliers has caused me to pull these two scents from the collection.

Hi, it’s been a while since I’ve shown my face Hi, it’s been a while since I’ve shown my face here. I wanted to say Hi and that I’m still here I’ve just been knee deep in testing fall/winter scents (coming soon) testing new jars and a bunch of other candle stuff that’s kept me busy most of the Summer. Whether you’re a new or longtime follower, I’m Natasha and the woman behind Sonnet Candles. Welcome, I’m glad you’re here. I started Sonnet 3 years ago as a candle brand that creates candles that don’t cause headaches and scent your space without being overwhelming. If you have sensitivity to fragrance, these candles are perfect for you. As I said before I’ve also been preparing for Fall/Winter markets/pop ups that are right around the corner and doing a small re-brand more on all of that later. I can’t believe we’re halfway through September. I’m excited for Fall and candle season there’s a lot I can’t wait to share. Speaking of Fall, leave me a comment letting me know some of your favorite Fall and Winter Scents.

Can we talk about comparison? I had to take a litt Can we talk about comparison? I had to take a little bit of a social media break because I was slowly falling into that trap of comparison and looking at where other businesses are in relation to mine and feeling a little inadequate and I needed to take a little time to reset. While I know that all of us are running our own races but that monster of comparison sometimes is hard to fight and beat back even with all the rational thoughts to be a reminder that I’m doing what I need to do just like the other person or business is doing what they need to do. I shared this quote today as a reminder to myself and to anybody else who is feeling like they’re in the same spot trying to beat back all that stuff that comparison traps us into that where we are exactly where we’re supposed to be and what is for us is for us. Even if things don’t go our way, that doesn’t mean that we quit or think that we’ve failed. But it’s to remember that sometimes our paths may not look like everyone else’s and it’s OK and sometimes we have to go slower than others and that’s OK too. In the end where we wanna be we will get there maybe not in the timeframe that we hope but it will always be on time.
