The perfume oil, that was recently a fragrance feature also unlocked a scent memory for me, that scent is Blanca. Back in the day (early 2000s) my go to perfume scent was L’Occitane’s Vanilla Perfume. I don’t think they make it anymore. I loved this scent. It was a vanilla scent with a hint of caramel is how it was described. It was just the right blend of warm and sweet. It wasn’t a bakery scent there was some sophistication to it and I loved it. I purchased that scent for years delighted I finally found my signature scent.
Then one day the worst thing happened…. The formula changed. As a person with a fragrance sensitivity, I know when this happens the chance of me not reacting the reformulation is very low. Everything about this scent was different the bottle and the packaging. I was heart was broken, I lost my favorite scent. As a person with fragrance sensitivities, when I find a scent that doesn’t cause me to react, I covet it and buy it in bulk. For years, I tried to find a scent similar but no luck. Then last year I was testing some new perfume oil fragrances and found a scent that caused me to do a literal happy dance. It wasn’t a copy of my favorite scent but had similar notes and it immediately made me feel like I was reunited with my signature scent years later.
While I could have easily made this perfume oil for me. I know there are plenty of people looking for a good vanilla perfume scent and that is how Blanca was born. It is a vanilla scent, it’s got an heir of sophistication and it’s really pretty. It’s a scent that even if you’re not a fan of sweet scents you will love this one.
